Keeping track of notes and information while on the go is super easy… check out Evernote (http://www.evernote.com).
It provides an easy way to take quick text or audio notes, capture screenshots or web pages as well as snap photo notes with your phone or desktop camera. Evernote will keep your notes of any type in sync and accessible between your desktop, phone, or web clients. All of your notes are fully searchable and taggable, and the service also attempts to perform text recognition in photos!
The clients are free, and availible for both Windows and Mac, as well as for the iPhone, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile platforms. You can also access your notes via a web browser (And there is a browser web-clipper available). The desktop clients also support Drag-and-Drop.
All of your content is sync’d automatically between platforms, so notes you take on your iPhone appears on your web interface as well as your desktop, almost instantly.
The software and service is surprisingly free! There is a reasonable limit to uploads for the free service, and a premium service is available for power users for $45/year. The premium service allows for a higher allowance of uploads per month (500 MB vs 40 MB), as well as SSL security for your data. The free service is ad supported.
